Angkor…name itself justify the trip! We must also explore the wild forests of Cardamon Mountains, Kingdom of the Asian elephant, follow the Mekong River to reach the lake Ton Le Sap and its colorful birds. You hike from village to village on the plateau of Kulen, then discover fully and varied jungle of Cambodia and the unknown site of Koh Ker.

Day 1: Arrival in Phnompenh (D)

Meet our guide upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, and then transfer at your hotel. Welcome dinner at local restaurant and spend your first night in Kingdom of Cambodia.

Day 2: : Phnom Penh-Kirirum – Home Stay in Chambak (B,L,D)

Breakfast at your hotel before to be transfered from Phnom Penh to Kirirum National Park via national road number 4, distance about 180km. Lunch at the restaurant of Chambak Home Stay Community.

After lunch we start our trekking to visit the waterfall, passing through wild bamboo, tropical forest and first to visit the Bat Cave, where thousands of bats inhabited for many years. There you will find some rare birds and continue to the highest level of water fall of Chambak and enjoy the bath or taking picture from the very lively nature.

Return back to the bus and check in to home stay, to feel the smell of domestic animal as you were living together with Cambodian for long time. Dinner at community restaurant and enjoy the local dance with the local people.

Day 3: : Kirirum – Tatai (B,L,D)

akfast at the same place. The bus will bring you to the food of the hill of Kirirum and start walking up and down, passing throught long line of pine tree until reaching the hill top and view the magnificent nature beauty. After a few minute of enjoin with Kirirum, back in the bus and drive to Tatai. Lunch en route. Upon arrival to Tatai board on the small boat with direction to 4 rivers, enjoy your free time at your own leisure with Kayak and fishing. Dinner and accommodation at the Eco Lodge.

Day 4: Tatai – Chi Phat (B,L,D)

After your breakfast at your Lodge, you will be transferred by boat to the National Road and start trekking to Ta Tai Water Fall, where you will witness the beauty of our rain forest. The trail is bent according the river flow and you can feel the song of different kind of birds. After a rest, continue the trek to Chi Phat community via Andoung Tek. Upon arriving Chi Phat village, you will be welcome by Chi Phat community’s staff; walk to nearby Chhay Chrey rapids with a local guide (about 2km), swim and relax. Dinner and stay at homestay.

Day 5: Chi Phat – Damnak Khos – Veal Traprak Pond (B,L,D)

Early morning, leave for sunrise, birds watching trip on a Motor and Traditional rowboat along the Stoeng Prat (Cattle Skin Cord) River, breakfast on the boat. Arrive and start trekking to Veal Ta Prak with local guide. Lunch at O’Chonleas Pran (Refugee River) and continue trekking to Antong Prang campsite near 2 small stream and meadow. Evening walk to the nearby Veal Traprak pond to try spotting wild animals, which come to the pond, Come back to campsite and have dinner made by the forest cook. Overnight at Antong Prang campsite.

Day 6: Veal Traprak Pond – Chi Phat (B,L,D)

Breakfast at O’Malu Campsite or at O’Kay home stays (By forest cook). Start trekking back to Chi Phat at your time of convenience! Noontime, arrive in Chi Phat – Have lunch and shower at homestay. Afternoon, you will continue trekking to visit a village nearby and participate to a reforestation project of the Cardamoms area if you wish. Late afternoon, continue to Bold Mountain View and enjoy the sunset (5km from the village). Have dinner and overnight in Chi Phat.

Day 7: Chi Phat – Phnompenh (B,L,D)

This morning, continue of trek around the community, lunch at homestay. Afternoon, you board a boat for the approx. 2 hour downstream journey along the Preak Piphot river to come back to Phompenh. Dinner and stay overnight in Phnompenh.

Day 8: Phnompenh – Siem Reap (B,L,D)

Breakfast at your hotel. Time for your own leisure until your transfer to the airport to take the flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, transfer to your hotel and a short tour to familiarize with the provincial town. Dinner and accommodation at your hotel.

Day 9: Siem Reap (B,L,D)

Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). Start walking from the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), Bapoun, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King, and keep walking until the East Gate. Lunch at local restaurant near Angkor Wat. In the afternoon visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. Dinner at local restaurant and accommodation at your hotel.

Day 10: Siem Reap (B,L,D)

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning, transfer to Banteay Srei temple (10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Then we move to Phnom Kulen, to climb up to the top hill by the pilgrim’s way, about 350 meters. Lunch at the waterfall. In the afternoon walking through the tropical forest and nearby village and return back to hotel in Siem Reap. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at your hotel.

Day 11: Siem Reap – Preak Toal (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the boat dock and cruising across the great lake Tonle Sap toward Preak Toal Community. Lunch prepare by the community. Afternoon visit the surrounding area. Dinner and accommodation at home stay basis.

Day 12: Preak Toal – Siem Reap (B,L,D)

After breakfast, embark on boat to visit the many kind water birds. And back to Siem Reap by passing through Me Chrey Community, after lunch return back to Siem Reap. Dinner and accommodation in Siem Reap.

Day 13: Siem Reap – Koh Ker – Boeung Meala (B,L,D)

After breakfast, Overland tour to Koh Ker temple, we will walk through the ancient capital. We will explore many small temple on the way and climb up the Pyramid Temple Koh Ker where we will have lunch. Keep exploring other temple until reach the bus and transfer to visit Boeng Mealea. This temple is far from other, but many praise for the quality of construction, even many parts fall down and swollen by many trees. Return back to your hotel in Siem Reap for your dinner and spend your night.

Day 14: Siem Reap departure (B,L)

Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning visit local market for some souvenir and visit the school of “Les Artisans d’Angkor – Chantiers Ecoles”. Transfer to airport for your departure flight.
