Highlights of tour:
 

Explore some famous cultural and natural heritages of Vietnam: citadel of Hanoi, Ha Long bay, Hoi An ancient town, citadel of Hue, gongs performance and meeting of many ethnic minority groups of the country.

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi (D)

Welcome to Vietnam, arrival at Hanoi airport, after immigration and customs formalities; you’ll be met by your personal guide and driver, then transfer into the city. On arrival, check-in to hotel.

An electric car trip around with 36 streets of Ha Noi ancient town (Dong Xuan market, Silk Street…) gives you a chance to explore the different local way of life.

Enjoy the Water Puppet Show in the evening.

Welcome dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi-Lao Cai (B,L,D)

All day city tour Hanoi to visit: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, President Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, West Lake, Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Hanoi citadel. After lunch at local restaurant, Visit a complex of the Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple (Jade mountain Temple), But Tower (Pen – shaped tower), Dai Nghien (Ink Stand), the Red – painted wooden The Huc Bridge…

Transfer to Tran Quy Cap train station for overnight train to La Cai. Stay overnight on train.

Day 3: Lao Cai-Bac Ha (B,L,D)

You arrive in Lao Cai early morning. After breakfast and a little break at a local restaurant, transfer to Bac Ha and visit of its Sunday market, the biggest trading center and meeting place of many ethnic minorities: Red H’mong, Tay, Nung, Dzao… near the mountainous highlands and the Chinese border. After the market, we walk to Ban Pho to visit around and take some pictures of hill tribes at work and explore the stunning mountainous scenery. Overnight in Bac Ha.

Day 4: Bac Ha – Sa Pa (B,L,D)

Drive to Sa Pa in the morning, then we go to Lao Chai village (08kms from Sapa), which is inhabited by the Black Hmong hill tribe. We trek through terraced rice fields, follow the buffalo paths… in the village from Lao Chai to Ta Van, the only village in Sa Pa where the Giay minority lives. In Ta Van we enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our guide in a local house. After lunch we continue our walk through the bamboo forest before reaching Giang Ta Chai, where we have the opportunity to meet the Red Dao minority people. A vehicle will be awaiting us in Giang Ta Chai and take us back to Sa Pa. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Sapa-Lao Cai (B,L,D)

Road to Ta Phin village where live the Kinh, Red Dzao, Black H’mong. Trekking thought rice paddies and picturesque scenery. You can meet local people and discover their daily life. Drive back to Sa Pa. Late afternoon, transfer to Lao Cai Station for overnight back to Hanoi. Overnight on train.

Note: This day, you will have 01 room for washing before transfer to Lao Cai Station.

Day 06: Hanoi – Ha Long (B,L,D)

Arrive in Hanoi early morning. After breakfast at a local restaurant, you’ll be driven about 4hrs to famous and magnificent Ha Long Bay. Embark at the cruise, welcome drink followed by cruise briefings. Check in your cabins.

Enjoy a great set lunch as you cruise among beautiful islets (Indochina studio, Am Island…). The Bai Tu Long bay area has the wild beauty with the panoramic natural views, making it unforgettable to tourists.

Visiting the Vung Vieng village by rowing boat – the famous pearl-growing village and the fishing tanks of the local people. Tourists can observe the process of feeding pearl as well as the life of local people on the surface of Halong bay. Free leisure for your swimming & kayaking and treasure the wonderful beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay at the sunset, admire the striking islands and islets. Stay overnight on board.

Note : The cabins on board are simple, comfortable, clean, air-conditioned, and outfitted with their own and hot shower. This is a join-in cruise (possibility to book a private junk).

Day 07 : Ha Long – Hanoi – Hue (B,L,D)

Early morning, you are invited to join a Tai Chi demonstration taking place on the top deck of the junk.

Continuing the cruise toward Cong Do area. Explore the area of Hon Co Island and Co Cave (Grass Cave, also known as Thien Canh Son).  You can revel in the breathtaking view of Bai Tu Long bay from above, as well as the glorious long white sand of Hon Co Island.

Lunch on board while the cruise come back to the pier. You will disembark the Junk and return to Hanoi. Transfer to Noi Bai airport, flight to Hue. Pick up by our guide and driver upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Hue.

Day 8: Hue Visit (B,L,D)

After breakfast at hotel, you will take a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda. Then visit the elaborate tombs of Emperor Tu Duc & Khai Dinh. Afternoon, visit the majestic Imperial Citadel of Hue and finish the day with a visit to Dong Ba market. Overnight in Hue.

Day 9: Hue-Hoi An (B,L,D)

Drive to Hoi An via scenic Hai Van Pass, where we enjoy the spectacular panorama of the central coastline from the summit. Stop at Lang Co to stretch your legs and enjoy the white sands of this peaceful beach. Arrival at the ancient town of Hoi An. Afternoon, explore the old port town’s narrow cobblestone streets and visit historic sites including a traditional Chinese trading house, Phuc Kien Pagoda and the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoi An (B,L,D)

Morning, bicycle to Tra Que village, a charming little village on the edge of Hoi An, famous of its herbs and vegetables. This trip brings you an experience the farming life of the Vietnamese in a non-commercialized way. On arrival, you will join with farmers in preparing land and assist them to do some rural activities such as: raking, sowing, and watering greens, picking greens and many more gardening activities. Cooking class with hosts and taste your lunch prepared by yourself. Return to Hoi An in the afternoon. Dinner and stay overnight in Hoi An.

Day 11: Hoi An (B,L,D)

Free at your own leisure.

Day 12: Hoi An – Da Nang – Buon Ma Thuot (B,L,D)

Free leisure until transfer to Da Nang airport; take off to Buon Ma Thuot city, located in the South Central highland of Vietnam.

Welcome by local guide, transfer to the hotel, and check in. After lunch, visit the ethnography museum, walking for having an overlook of the city. Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 13: Buon Ma Thuot – Lak (B,L,D)

Drive to Lak Lake, passing by a stunning countryside. Explore the lake by a dug-out canoe trip then walking to visit Jun village of M’nong ethnic minority. You have a good occasion to view their community’s living activities by riding on an elephant (1 hour). Enjoy the dinner with traditional concert (gongs, dance…) and taste their special drink “ruou can” (wine drunk out of a jar through pipes). Stay overnight in their house on stilt.

Day 14: Lak – Da Lat (B,L,D)

Visit the emperor Bao Dai’ palace, then drive to Da Lat. Located at high altitude (1500-2000m), Da Lat brings to tourists 4 seasons in a day. On arrival, a horse trip permits you to have an overlook of this nice town: visit the botanic garden, Xuan Huong artificial lake… Overnight in Da Lat.

Day 15: Da Lat (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel, all day city tour of Da Lat: Thien Vien Truc Lam monastery, flower market, the valley of Love and a factory of strawberry jam.

Afternoon, a ride in a Land Rover up to the top of Langbiang Mountain gives you a spectacular view of Dalat and the surrounding mountains and valleys. Visit some minority villages under the mountain foot.

Overnight in Da Lat.

Day 16: Da Lat – Saigon (B,L,D)

Morning, you take a flight to Saigon, welcome by local guide on arrival. After lunch, you will immediately begin your exploration of Sai Gon, the economic powerhouse of Vietnam. You will visit the Reunification Hall and the former US Embassy. Historically, both buildings symbolize the deep scars of this once war-torn country. You also have the chance to see the War Remnant Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral and general post office which was reportedly designed Gustave Eiffel. Walk amongst the frenzied merchants and buyers of Cho Lon market and visit Thien Hau Pagoda. Dinner at a local restaurant and stay overnight in Sai Gon.

Day 17: Saigon – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi – Saigon (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel, drive to Tay Ninh, at good time, you will discover a new unique religion existed only in Vietnam: Caodaism. Caodaism is a mixture of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. In this religion, Buddha and the Christian God are believed to both exist as deities, but Cao Dai is the third, highest deity. Return to Saigon in the afternoon with a stopover at Cu Chi, visit of Cu Chi tunnels. Arrive in Saigon, check in to hotel. Dinner and overnight in Saigon.

Day 18: Saigon – Cai Be – Can Tho (B,L,D)

Departure to Cai Be, upon embarkation on our private boat, you will visit of Cai Be colorful floating market, cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables… The cruise will then bring you to some local home factories to discover traditional rice paste making, rice pop corn, coco candies, and longans drying processing. We will proceed the excursion to Dong Hoa Hiep Island, a peaceful escape where you will be able to visit an ancient mandarin house dating from late 19th century where some green tea will be served to you.

After lunch in the heart of a fruit garden, return to the car, drive to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 19: Can Tho – Saigon (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel, visit the Cai Rang floating market From the early morning, the waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with fruits, vegetables, plants, foods, etc… Sellers hang a sample of what they have from the top of a long pole so that buyers can see from a distance what they are selling.

Drive back to Sai Gon. Overnight in Sai Gon.

Day 20: Saigon Departure (B)

Free at own leisure until transfer to Saigon airport for your international flight.
